I get it. Life is so busy. One day blends into the next. We have sleepless nights. Someone is always hungry. It feels like you just dropped them to school and then it's time to pick them up again. When is it ever a good time to make time for a photoshoot?
I felt the same. We wanted a family photo on the wall and we just kept putting it off for another day just like a multitude of other things that we wanted to do.
The school would sometimes ask for a family picture for school projects and I would dig out the only picture I had of the five of us together where we were all wearing superhero costumes for my son's birthday. I had to stop circulating this photo around! I had to get a better picture of us all together, perhaps NOT in superhero attire this time!
I can't believe I'm sharing this picture with you, lol.
Then I finally bit the bullet and booked a session for my own family.
Let me tell you, the session was SUCH a fun hour spent with my family! It was worth it for so many reasons. There were no phones or tv's. We were outside in the fresh air. We were looking into each other's eyes and giving our undivided attention to each other. We were smiling at each other. We were present in the moment and hugging and cuddling, running and playing.
And now we have the bonus of having photos of that fabulous, fun afternoon together. As well as the fact that I have a better, less embarrassing pictures to send to the school!
